Our most eligible residents!
Featured Felines
Some are bonded, some are loners, some are just shy, but they're all great cats looking for a forever home!

Trooper is a stunning medium-length haired male tuxedo who came to The Pretty Paw Lounge after being saved by a law enforcement officer's spouse who found him after someone had shot him in the foot. This quiet gentleman doesn't let his limp stop him when he plays with Mavis & Iva, although he does require time to trust new people. He'd do great with a family who has other social cats to show him he's in a safe place.

Two-year-old Gary (female) is an undercover cutie. She keeps her distance from the other cats and from visitors who get too boisterous, but when she came to us earlier in 2025, she loved headpets and performed the rare hind leg biscuit-making move. If you are ready for a confident cat who knows what she likes and doesn't, Gary's your girl!

Chess was found as a stray in early 2025. He was slow to warm up to the idea of people in his indoor space, but since moving to a more central private room, he's really started to come out of his shell! Chess is very tolerant of kittens and interested in other cats. If you're interested in earning his trust, Chess could be a lovely match!

Rascal (left, male) and Dublin (right, female) came in as a timid twosome afraid to leave the corner. Since then, they both have come into their own, with Dublin leading the way. They are not as extroverted as some other residents, but show warm affection to those who approach them. These two would do best with other cats who respect their boundaries or as the only cats.

Daisy has been compared to an energetic puppy! She was hand-raised and bottle fed as a kitten, which means grew up getting lots of attention. Daisy is sweet and enjoys human company much more than other cats', but sometimes her periodic love bites can overwhelm people who haven't yet learned her body language cues. Daisy has been working with staff to improve old habits and is making great progress!

These 2-yr-old sisters are the last of their family waiting to be adopted and the current longest residents. They came in with their mom and brothers after starting kittenhood in an alley in Queens. They had kittens of their own shortly after coming to The Pretty Paw and all of them have since been adopted, too. These 2 beauties, Mavis (longhair) and Iva (shorthair), are the perfect pair for someone with patience who knows treats are a currency for trust.

Cupcake is another one of our longer-term residents. She's currently in a private room but has spent time with other cats. She loves to follow volunteers and staff around and appreciates a warm lap on her own terms. Cupcake can get overstimulated by too much petting and tell you via a paw smack, so we recommend her for a home familiar with cats and without small children.

This duo consists of our second-longest residents, Sourdough (right, male, 10) and Aioli (left, female, 8). They're a truly bonded pair, often spotted grooming each other as they settle into a snuggle session.

Cinnamon (left, female) and Sage (right, male) are a stunning bonded pair. Sometimes guests are surprised to learn they're bonded, but when things quiet down, these two can be spotted cuddling to unwind from the day.
Our list of available cats goes beyond this group and updates often, so please visit our Instagram or Facebook to see posts about new arrivals, or visit us in person to see for yourself!
